Senior Specialist Technical Sales (m/f/d)

As Senior Specialist Technical Sales (m/f/d) in the Service & Installation segment at NKT´s site in Berlin, you will support the sales and project execution teams from technical side. You will act as primary expert/technical advisor for topics concerning service and installation of onshore cable systems - particularly in the area of oil-filled cable systems.

You will be responsible for the following aspects: 

Part of your duties will be to capture, maintain and grow internal knowledge concerning Medium and High Voltage (MV and HV) oil-filled cables, corresponding accessories and auxiliary equipment.
Other key responsibilities include:

• Support sales and execution efforts, primarily related to oil-filled- but also gas pressure- and XLPE cable systems, for onshore service projects from technical/engineering side
• Optimization of offer and execution considering customer requirements and economic impact for NKT
• Drive minor service projects from end-to-end as project manager
• Representing NKT in customer meetings at conferences and trade shows
• Provide proposals and drive implementation initiatives for product or development of new service offerings

To connect a greener world, you should have the following skills and experience:

You have an engineering degree (Master) or alternatively an equivalent degree with relevant work experience.

You have more than 10 years of professional experience in a technical environment with at least 5 of those years in a technical role. You have the ability to read complex technical drawings and you speak german and english.

You also have the following qualities:

• High degree of curiosity, technical affinity and ability to build expertise in a technologically demanding and cross-disciplinary (electrical/mechanical engineering) domain
• Ambition to become a leading technical expert in the MV/HV oil-filled cable niche and commitment to become long-term successor of the existing expert in the next 2-4 years
• Ability to develop strong working relationships, build internal network and take initiative to use the expertise of colleagues
