Are you an electrical engineer or experienced electrical power technician inspired by innovation and keen on being a part of developing electrical system solutions for our production site in Karlskrona? Then we might have the right job for you! In this role you will be a resource to develop both power systems, electrical installations and automation systems for our production site in Karlskrona.


Take part in further developing NKT´s unique production technology
The Production Technology aim to be in the forefront of technology and have developed globally unique automation systems used in our cable management. In this role you will be the expert on electrical design and electrical installations with great knowledge on this topic as well as on Electrical Safety in work activity and other standards. You will also be an important part in the automation development group deciding and validating of electrical design solutions on new machines and/or upgrades.

Your primary tasks will be: 

  • Power systems and electrical installations
  • Expert on electrical design on machines and production equipment
  • Be a part of developing routines and instruction for electrical safety work
  • Support in electrical safety issues.
  • Participant in project teams
  • Attend innovation forum and development group meetings

As Electrical Engineer at NKT you’ll be a part of the Production Technology Automation & Power Engineering team in Karlskrona well experienced in projects concerning power and automation development. In Karlskrona we have a state of the art manufacturing facility for manufacturing high voltage and extra high voltage power cables, the largest HVDC test lab in the world and Victoria, our cable laying vessel.

We are looking for a skilled electrical engineer with high quality workmanship who is curious and eager to learn new things. You thrive in a role with high level of collaboration with your team colleagues as well as with other departments. 
To succeed in this role, you need to be thorough and appreciating taking responsibility for your own work and its output. Since HSE is NKT:s highest priority and our baseline for everything we do it is important to adapt to this thinking and to learn to live with high HSE focus in all situations.

Additionally, your CV comprises: 

  • Solid experience in
    • electrical engineering (eg production machines, power grids or electrical installations)
    • projects (eg production, distribution or electrical installations)
    • personal responsible for an electrical installation (ESA role)
  • Knowledge in ESA and FebDok or other electrical power design software.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Swedish is mandatory 
  • Fluency in English
