Engineer - PLM

In your role as Engineer - PLM within Digital Solutions in Chennai , India. You will work together with PLM / windchill service manager ensure a stable and future proof of PLM system.  Your role will be to act as support for windchill related queries.   

Responsibility areas

• Perform Windchill customization and configuration at NKT
• Requirements Management and Business Alignment together with Senior Engineer and Service Manager
• Support development of Windchill at NKT to ensure long time perseverance
• Support business users with Windchill knowledge   

Your profile

• 3+ years of experience in administration of Windchill application
• Hands on experience from Windchill configuration and customization
• Experience in analyzing and resolving incidents and problems related to Windchill
• Experienced in installation and rehosting of Windchill application
• Experience in Windchill upgrades
• Experience from working in an Agile Software Development Environment

We would like you to have experience from the following areas: 

• Windchill
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• MS Azure DevOps

Technical Profile

• Analyze and fix incidents related to Windchill
• Fix bugs in customization code base of Windchill
• Find workarounds for core product bugs and coordinate with PTC for permanent solution
• Handling development/enhancements/modification requests
• Fixing Windchill Infra/Admin related issues
• Install, Rehost and configure Windchill System Administration
• Windchill licensing
• Production build deployment
• Development based on JAVA
• Certificate mgmt (e.g. https)

• Good leadership capability
• Good interpersonal skills
• Will be required to work individually as well as a team and can support own and others’ workloads
• Able to prioritize various tasks and work under tight deadlines
