Junior Engineer (m/f/d)

The position is at the Cologne location in the Engineering department.

Your area of responsibility

In your role as a junior engineer, you will have technical responsibility for quotation and project documentation with a special focus on HVAC- and/or HVDC-land cables.

Other tasks include:

• Examination of the tenders for cable connections for technical feasibility and decision on them

• Carrying out technical calculations and creating the corresponding system design including accessories

• Compilation of the necessary technical documents including overview technical drawings

• Setting up the necessary cables, accessories, and external/internal services

• Reviewing and commenting on the technical preparations of subcontractors

• Creation and updating of technical descriptions and data sheets

• Support team during technical negotiations and project management in project discussions and acceptance tests with the customer

Your profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering

• Experience in modeling and sizing cable systems

• Initial professional experience in large-scale projects/high-voltage cable projects

• High communication and negotiation skills as well as a high level of commitment, flexibility, and the ability to work in a team

• Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written

• Very good IT knowledge in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Project, SAP as well as confident handling of common software such as COMSOL and MATLAB, programming knowledge
